Martins Azubuike Emerges Abia Speaker

The member representing Isiala Ngwa North Constituency, Hon. Martins Azubuike, of the ruling Peoples Democratic party has emerged the Speaker of the sixth session of the Abia State House of Assembly.
He was elected unopposed. Election is still in progress for the Deputy Speaker.
Member representing Umunneochi Constituency, Hon. Ikedi Ezekwesiri, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, and a debutant, Chief Cosmos Ndukwe, representing Bende North ( PDP) are the contenders for the deputy speaker.
