At least two people have been shot dead by a man firing from a Mercedes convertible in southern Germany.The silver car sped away after an 82-year-old woman was killed near Ansbach in the state of Bavaria.
A cyclist was then shot dead in nearby Rammersdorf.
Police spokeswoman Simone Wiesenberg said the suspect had been arrested shortly afterwards.Petrol station employees detained the man after he went in with a weapon, according to the nordbayen.de website.It reported that they had restrained him using cable ties to bind his hands.The petrol station was cordoned off while emergency vehicles, a dog unit and police helicopters were sent to the area.A farmer and another motorist were also threatened with a gun during the attack, police said in a statement. They were both unharmed.
