Fidelity Bank supports home ownership with N115m

Fidelity Bank Plc has earmarked N115 million to support Nigerians that desire to own new homes across the country through a new promotional campaign tagged, ‘Save 4 Shelter’ promo.The promo, according to the bank, is expected to run for six months, and will be drawn on monthly and bi-monthly basis where rent support winners and star prize winners of duplexes respectively will be produced.
200 winners are expected to emerge throughout the duration of the promo and is open to all Savings Account customers of the bank.
Three duplexes located in Lekki Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Abuja will be won at the bi-monthly draws, while a total of N35 million rent support will be won at the monthly draws at average of N5.5 million per month.
The first winner in the rent support category will cart away N2 million; second prize winner in the category will win N1 million, while the third prize winner will go home with N500,000.
Giving details at a press conference to unveil the promo at the bank’s Head Office in Lagos, Mrs. Janet Nnabuko, Promo Manager, said that a total of three duplex winners, 42 rent support winners and over 120 consolation prize winners will emerge at the end of the promo.
To qualify for the bi-monthly draw and be legible to win one of the duplexes, she said that all that is needed is for the customer to open a savings account and grow the balance to N50,000 or top up existing savings account with N50,000. Qualification for the monthly draws that entitle customers to win any of N2 million, N1 million or N500,000, requires a customer to also open a savings account and grow the balance to N20,000 or top up an existing account with N10,000, she said.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Obaro Odeghe, General Manager, Apapa Region, Fidelity Bank Plc, who is also the Committee Chairman, Save 4 Shelter Promo, said the promo is the fifth in the series and falls in line with the bank’s overall strategy and financial inclusion of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
He explained that it is also a reward scheme for loyal customers of the bank, saying: “There are a lot of unbanked populace currently in Nigeria and one of our retail strategy is to encourage savings culture among Nigerians and to also reward the customers of the bank who have been saving with us for quite some time”.
He added, “This goes a long was to show the concern we have on meeting the basic needs of our numerous customers because at Fidelity Bank we do much more than a decent interest while saving your money. With the Save 4 Shelter promo, customers will realise that it pays to save with Fidelity Bank.”
