Former Arsenal and France midfielder Robert Pires finally has announced his retirement from football.The 42-year-old is the last of France's 1998 World Cup winners to hang up his boots, having most recently played for Indian Super League outfit FC Goa in the 2014-15 season.
"I'm 42 years old so must stop at some point, we must say stop and give way to younger players," Pires, who has been a free agent for the last year, said.
