Boko Haram : Military rescues 1,890 in Borno

As the troops backed by the Nigerian Airforce aircraft continue the clearance operations to rid remnants of Boko Haram terrorists from their remaining enclaves, over 1890 persons held captives by Boko Haram terrorists at various locations have been freed within the last two weeks.The rescue of the captives came just as “Troops of 21 Brigade on Thursday February 25, 2016 intercepted over 3,000 Nigerian refugees crossing from Wambatche, Liman and Kodo Fata villages in Cameroon into Nigeria. Among the 1890 rescued include 800 Nigerians refugees that crossed to Cameroon that were brought back to Banki town in Nigeria by troops of 21 Brigade yesterday. Also in this light, Troops of 121 Task Force conducted joint patrols with Cameroonian forces at Mararraba, Angwan Fada, Dale and Wizha Bokko Timit, Bokko Nasanu and Bokko Hidde up to Ngoshe in which they rescued 17 women and 28 children.
