The Boeing Company International has selected a student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State, Oladunni Ogunnubi, to participate in its 2016 Internship programme in the United States of America.Ogunnubi, a final year student of the Transport Management Technology, will join other students from Kenya, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Togo and Morocco to undergo training at the organisation’s headquarters in Seattle, US.
The company is the manufacturers of the Boeing range of aircraft.
A statement from the organisation said the beneficiaries’ selection followed their academic results and outstanding performance during an electronically conducted interview with members of the selection board of the company.
It is also to serve as a veritable source of providing international job engagement for outstanding students. The highly competitive internship programme draws applications from different parts of the world.”It added, “The programme is designed to offer opportunities to emerging leaders in the commercial aviation industry and position them for greater responsibilities in the future. Selected undergraduates are exposed to the field of transport engineering and management.
