Gunmen kidnap Taraba Deputy Gov’s mother, demand N300m

Unknown gun men yesterday night invaded the house of the Deputy governor of Taraba state Eng. Haruna Manu and abducted his old mother in Mutum-Biu the head quarters of Gasol Local Government area of Taraba state.The deputy governor was reported to be outside the state when the incident occurred. The gunmen according an eye witness who refused to give his name said they came on three motor-cycles. The gunmen were said to be heavily armed with sophisticated weapons. “They came on three motor-cycles, they forcefully entered the house and forced the old woman to climb their motor-cycles” “They were hostile in their approach and ready to harm any one who stand in their way” “The person that carried the old woman was in the front of the two who were guarding from behind” “The second motor-cycle man fell down while they were trying to escape with the old woman, it was in the middle of the house of a neighbour to the deputy governor” the eye witness stated
