Swine Flu Shuts Three Hospital Wards In England

A Leicester hospital has been forced to close three of its wards after 14 cancer patients were diagnosed with swine flu.The patients at Leicester Royal Infirmary have all been isolated in a bid to contain the spread of the virus.
Glenfield Hospital in Leicester is also treating three seriously ill patients for swine flu.
They are understood to have been brought to Leicester from other parts of the country.
The H1N1 swine flu strain is one of the dominant flu strains this winter, although the latest flu jab is designed to protect against it.
A hospital statement said the origin of the virus is unclear, although it is "likely to be from a visitor as this strain of flu is currently in the community."
Visitors who have cold and flu symptoms are being urged to stay away from hospitals in the city.
