Two Boko Haram kingpins who were declare wanted by Nigerian Army were arrested in Taraba state by the Nigerian Police Force while on surveillance around the state.The two wanted Boko Haram kingpins, Alhaji Ali Abdu and Abdulmumuni Abdulahi all indigenes of Yobe state were arrested through intelligent gathering according to the Commissioner of Police Taraba state command, Shaba Alkari. The Commissioner disclosed this while briefing journalist at the police headquarters in Jalingo over the recent achievements recorded by the police command. Shaba stated that the first suspect Ali Audu was arrested at Tela town in Gasol local government area of Taraba state on 22 of April 2016 through a tip off. He also disclosed that Abdulmumuni Abdulahi was arrested at Bali town in Bali local government area of the state on the 5th of March 2016, Abdulahi was said to be arrested while he came into the town and engaged himself as a roasted meat seller ( Suya). The police commissioner confirmed to journalist that the two wanted suspected Boko Haram members were arrested by the police without having knowledge that they were on the Wanted list. “We arrested them while on surveillance through interagency and tip off from our informants, we never new they were on the wanted list of the Boko Harm members” He further review that it was until they were taken to the police headquarters in Jalingo that investigations disclosed their identity on the list.
