A 17-year-old boy has died after being stabbed during a fight in south London, police have said.Officers were called to reports that a number of youths were involved in an "altercation" in New Cross Road, Lewisham, shortly before 8pm on Sunday.
Police who attended the scene found a boy with a stab wound in nearby Camplin Street.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) took the youngster to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 9pm.
A police spokesman said his next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Two males, aged 15 and 16, were arrested close to the scene.
Both currently remain in custody at a police station in south London.
A murder investigation has been launched and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
