DELTA State Government has rescued and rehabilitated over 90 destitute persons across the state. Speaking through the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Mrs. Omatsola Williams, at the ongoing ministerial briefing in Asaba, the government explained that 51 of the rescued destitute persons were males, noting that they were distributed to government approved centres in “Ogwashi-Uku, Oleh, Agbor, Sapele, Okpe and Olomu for treatment, care and rehabilitation with the state government footing the bills. Noting that 14 additional destitutes of the state origin and six of their children were repatriated to the state, she said 25 of the rehabilitated personss had been reunited with their families.
