The Vice-Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali has said that no fewer that 104,000 admission seekers applied for admission in the university during the 2017/2018 academic session.He, however, said the university can only admit about 11,000 students.
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed said the study of history is important to understand the past and predict the future
He called for the protection of historical monuments in Nigeria.
Ahmed who was represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Aminat Ahmed said his administration will construct roads that will give access to historical sites in the state.
